The Sports Ministry/Evangelism Project Implemented by Africa Youth Ministries brings together mostly children and youth from the 8 Post War Northern Uganda Districts of Adjumani, Amur, Gulu, Kitgum, Oyam, Lamwo, Lira & Pader that were worst affected by the 21 years of the civil armed conflict between the government of Uganda and the Lord Resistance Army rebels between 1986-2007. The project uses sport as a platform to teach for evangelism as well as for discipleship and necessary peace building skills with emphasis on: dialogue, conflict resolution, tolerance, forgiveness, reconciliation, non violence, as important ingredients for Sustainable Peace-building.
